composite vs amalgm fillings

A patient came to us with a smile he was not fond of. He features in professional videos and needed a smile that he was proud of. His top front teeth were crooked, uneven, yellow in color, and one in particular was an old crown with metal underneath that was showing through the gums, providing a dark unpleasing grey/black line. To fix these issues, we did 6 porcelain crowns across the top front teeth. During the process of making the crowns, we consulted with our dental lab for the best outcome on shape, size, and color, as this was a custom case. After only 2 weeks and 2 appointments, the patient walked out of our office smiling from ear to ear and flashing his beautiful new smile. There are many ways to fix crooked or yellow front teeth, porcelain crowns being one of those solutions. If you struggle with any of these problems, give us a call because at Laurence Palmer DDS, we Change Lives One Smile at A Time.

This patient had always been embarrassed by her gap between her front teeth, also known as a diastema. This gap can be closed with white composite fillings, porcelain crowns, or orthodontic work, such as braces or Invisalign. We decided Invisalign was the best solution to permanently close the gap. Her case took 4 months start-to-finish wearing invisible aligners at least 22 hours a day. These aligners are taken out while the patient is eating, brushing, and flossing. The final result was an amazing change from the beginning and the patient was extremely happy with it! If you have gaps, crooked teeth, or overlapped teeth, give us a call to schedule a FREE Invisalign consult! At Laurence Palmer DDS, we Change Lives One Smile at A Time.
